PLMII Event Report - MOVIESTOP's Darkest Night
A dark night descended upon the MOVIESTOP in Pembroke Pines, as the doors opened to the crowd of Dark Knight Fans at 11:30 PM. Cleverly hidden among the throng of DVD buyers, the Joker moved about, I saw several people who looked like him, probably his henchmen or just decoys to throw even the great Batman off his trail. It would seem even the Joker is a DVD buff.
This storewide media event which coincided with the release of “The Dark Knight” - DVD was quite fun and drew a large crowd. I am very happy to say quite a few books left not only with the winners of the in store auction, but also in the hands of a whole new set of PLMII enthusiasts. It was great to see Mike from Earth2Comics onsite with a table full of bat goodies. Customers also got to take home some free Batman comics, supplied by Earth2Comics.
The staff at MOVIESTOP was in a word AWESOME!
John and the crew were on their toes to give all the attendees and us guests a great time. To quote Burt Ward – “Holy Smashing Goodtime, Batman!” and the event was just that.
I would be honored to reappear at any MIDNIGHT event this team throws in their store. Not only do they care about their customers, but they really love movies. When you combine that with friendly service and great prices, you just can’t lose.
