PLMII Comic Review : The Good Neighbors - Book 1 Kin

Holly Black  (Spiderwick)  & Ted Naifeh ( Death Jr.) team up to weave a dark tale of fairies and family secrets. I had high hopes going into this graphic novel, but left with some disappointment.

Ted's wonderful illustrations carry dark tones and kept me turning the pages. The story on the other hand seems "Old Hat" and done before. I almost expected what was to come. There is enough mystery to carry me to read the next installment, which I hope starts taking a darker twist and strays from being just another fairy world story.

If you are fans of Black & Naifeh and you like fairies its worth a look.
