PLMII Comic Review of : Invincible

Invincible Volume 1: Family Matters New Printing (Invincible) (Paperback)
by Robert Kirkman (Author), Cory Walker (Author)
Paperback: 120 pages

ISBN-13: 978-1582407111

It is not often a new comic comes along that takes us back to the feel of the great “Golden Age” comics. While “Invincible” by Kirkman/Walker does remind us of the great days of comic books, it also has a new age feel that should appeal to old and new comic readers alike.

The story is familiar yet written very well, and offers the reader a new take on the teenage superhero. A friend recommended this title to me, and I am quite sorry I did not discover it earlier. If you missed it when it first leapt into your comic book store, you can now enjoy the series in the collected graphic format. Rumor has it that this book has been picked up by Hollywood, a movie in the works? We will just have to wait and see.
