My Dearly Departed Valentine
My Dearly Departed Valentine
Do you fancy me?
Well I do fancy you
Yet such is our tragedy
That our hearts are deathly blue
Here in this stony orchard of death
Devoid of mortal breath
Beauty is ripe for the picking
If you don’t mind digging
Can one be lifeless and rotten?
And never leave love to be forgotten
Yet my cherished cadaver it is true
I am in love with you
I long to embrace worm filled corpse
And my sweetheart of course
When I dig you out
From your grave
Like an undead knave
Please don’t pout?
Our love is more than coincidence
Even with life’s absence
Say that you will be mine
My dearly departed valentine
Your gaze is that of surprise
Even without your eyes
With your jaw slightly askew
Who could not help but love you?
Your once soft skin, now cracked and faded
Your mortal beauty long since jaded
My dearest, you are so full of charm
Even though you are missing an arm
Can one be lifeless and rotten?
And never leave love to be forgotten
Yet my cherished cadaver it is true
I am in love with you
I long to embrace worm filled corpse
And my sweetheart of course
When I dig you out
From your grave
Like an undead knave
Please don’t pout?
Our love is more than coincidence
Even with life’s absence
Say that you will be mine
My dearly departed valentine
